Welcome to Dr. Timothy Tennent

The John Wesley Institute is honored that former Asbury Theological Seminary President Timothy Tennent is becoming a Distinguished Scholar of World Christianity with JWI. His roll will include an annual lecture in Washington, D.C.  He currently is Distinguished Professor of World Christianity at Asbury Theological Seminary outside Lexington, Kentucky.  In 2025 he will become the Methodist Chair of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama.  JWI promotes Wesleyan theological education and witness in the church and in society.
