School of Methodism: Pennsylvania
July 27, 2024
Trinity Church
84 Lombard Ave.
Danville, PA 17821
Registration: $25 (includes lunch)
Join Dr. Ryan Danker of the John Wesley Institute and Dr. Brian Shelton of Asbury University to explore the history and message of the Wesleyan movement.
The School of Methodism is designed to equip the laity with the riches of our tradition. Participants will engage in:
- History – How did Methodism start? What lit the fire?
- Theology – What is the transforming message of Methodism?
We will dive into the riches of the Wesleyan movement and engage the question of what it means to be a Wesleyan, not only how we might think like Methodists but how we might live faithfully as disciples of Jesus Christ. The original mission of Methodism was “to reform the nation, particularly the Church, and to spread scriptural holiness over the land.” What does that look like today?
All presentations are aimed at a broad audience.
Our time together will include teaching, fellowship and worship.
Please join us for this exciting event! Registration is $25 and includes lunch.
